Kronplatz
The K-Lodge is situated right in the heart of the ski region known as the Kronplatz. This ski paradise offers slopes for all abilities, from gentle alpine meadows to wonderful long scenic routes and challenging forest runs.
The ideal Kronplatz lift and piste network connects the villages of Olang, Reischach/ Brunico, Percha, San Vigilio and Piculin. Kronplatz is part of the Dolomiti Superski central network which offers a total of 1,200 km of slopes. Alta Badia is where you can join the Sella Ronda – the famous ski route which follows four Dolomite passes around the Sella massif. This can be accessed by the ski bus which runs between Piculin (Kronplatz) and Sompunt (Alta Badia). There is a four-kilometre cross-country ski trail in Olang, and further facilities at Antholz.
Summer on the Kronplatz: walking, hiking and biking
Even in spring, summer and autumn, the Kronplatz district in the heart of the Dolomites is still a wonderful holiday region. So the lodge is an ideal starting point for magnificent scenic hikes and mountain bike tours. The Messner Mountain Museum locations in Bruneck and at Kronplatz summit are both worth a visit, and the Ladin valleys of Val Badia, Val di Fassa and Cortina d'Ampezzo are yet more scenic destinations.
Elsewhere in Olang and Brunico, you will find a rich selection of walks in quiet meadows, animal parks and small mountain lakes, as well as centuries-old culture and traditions. And in addition, the region offers some excellent culinary experiences, with Tyrolean and Italian influences combining to provide a surprisingly rich variety of options.
